PRIMARY SCHOOL HOLIDAY LEARNING
A Productive Way to Spend the School Holidays
School holidays provide a valuable opportunity to consolidate learning without the pressure of normal school routines.
Orin Holiday Programs are designed to help students revisit important skills, strengthen areas that need attention and explore challenging new concepts in a supportive learning environment.
Rather than simply completing more worksheets, students are encouraged to think, discuss, solve problems and apply what they learn.

Who Is the Program For?
Orin Holiday Programs are suitable for students who:
would benefit from reinforcing important English or Mathematics skills;
enjoy academic challenges and want to extend their learning;
want to maintain productive learning habits during the holidays;
are preparing for the next school term;
enjoy learning in a structured but engaging environment.
Long school breaks can interrupt learning routines.
A well-designed holiday program gives students an opportunity to maintain momentum, strengthen important concepts and approach the next school term with greater confidence.
At Orin, our focus is not on filling every hour with academic work. We aim to create a balanced, purposeful learning experience that keeps students thinking and progressing while still recognising that school holidays should feel different from ordinary school days.
Why Holiday Learning Can Make a Difference

Frequently asked questions
Does my child need to be an existing Orin student?
No. Orin Holiday Programs are open to both existing Orin students and new students.
Does my child need to attend all five days?
Our Holiday Programs are designed as a structured five-day learning experience, so we strongly recommend attending the full program wherever possible. Selected programs may offer individual-day enrolment where places are available.
Is the Holiday Program the same as your regular term classes?
No. Our regular programs follow a progressive term-by-term curriculum. Holiday Programs are designed as focused learning experiences that combine revision, extension, problem-solving and enrichment.
Will students receive homework?
Holiday Programs are designed to provide a complete learning experience during program hours, so homework is generally kept to a minimum.
What should my child bring?
Students should bring their own lunch, snacks, water bottle and any personal items listed in the program information. All required learning materials will be provided unless otherwise advised.
How are students grouped?
Students are grouped according to factors such as year level, learning stage and program requirements to create an appropriate learning environment.
